The Home of Great Performance Horses
Sierra Dawn Arabians have been breeding quality Arabian horses since 1960. The breeding program focuses on the classic Arabian type and tremendous athletic ability with the "in-the-tent" disposition perfected and so highly prized by the Bedouins who created this breed over thousands of years on the sands of the Arabian Desert.
The training traditions of the Early California Vaqueros, as taught to Lorry Wagner by Bill "Wink" Chappell, are used on Sierra Dawn Horses. The consistent results are worth the time invested.
Bill "Wink" Chappell and Sierra Fadwah (Fadjur x Judhi) 1st Place, 3-year-old Stallions
After being sold to Jim Bumgardner in 1981, this stallion was twice named AERC Endurance Stallion of the Year, the second time at the age of 15. He went on to be elected to the AERC Hall of Fame in 1992. Fadwah has earned worldwide recognition as the leading sire of endurance horses and successful flat-racing offspring.
Sierra Dawn Arabians and Lorry Wagner (breeder) give huge thanks to Jim and Jackie Bumgardner who took this stallion to his full potential.
